photo of Joe YeckelJoe Yeckel received his undergraduate degree in political science from St. Louis University, graduating summa cum laude.  In 1997, Joe received his law degree from Washington University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Washington University Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law.

While attending law school, Joe interned for the Honorable Floyd McBride in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis.  After graduating, Joe clerked for the Honorable James R. Dowd at the Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals.  He entered private practice in 1999.

In 2007, Joe received the David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award from the Missouri Bar Foundation, and Super Lawyers recognized him as a Rising Star in Appellate Law in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

A fourth generation St. Louis lawyer, Joe is licensed in Missouri and Illinois and is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. 

Joe is also a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Civil Practice & Procedure, Probate & Trust Law, Elder Law, and the Solo and Small Firm Committees of the Missouri Bar.
